| This event will be held May 12th, 2007 at Christopher Ranch located off Hwy 25 just east of Hwy 101.
The event annually draws over 1200 people who enjoy an all you can eat
Crab Cioppino Dinner including: salad, garlic bread, and complimentary
red wine with dinner. The evening is topped off by a dance featuring the
sounds of the Shaboom. The event is made possible each year through
the generous donation of facilities on the part of Don and Bill Christopher.
The Christopher’s and the staff of Christopher Ranch have been supporters
of Gilroy High Athletics for many years. Don is a member of the Gilroy
High Athletics Hall of fame, inducted in 1998.
Through the years this event has raised almost $500,000 dollars to offset
the costs of running the athletic program at Gilroy High school. The majority
of funds have gone to defer the annual cost of transportation. The remainders
of the funds have been put into an Athletic Trust and are being used to
supplement capital projects like upgrading the school’s weight room.
The feed involves the entire athletic community of Gilroy High School.
Our coaches and booster serve as waiters and waitresses for the evening
and the schools administration and district administration serve as hosts
for the night. Our cooking staff is headed by local favorite Carl Swank.
Carl and his crew have earned an excellent reputation over the years and
they do a great job of making sure everyone goes away full and happy.
Tickets can be purchased beginning in March at Gilroy High School in the
student activities office, located in our new student center or on the website @ www.gilroyhighschool.com.
The cost is $50.00 per ticket. Watch this site for more info. For more
