You have signed up to take an AP and/or Honors class at Gilroy High School for the
2007-2008 school year. Many courses have a Summer Assignment that MUST be completed over the summer. The Summer Assignment is due the first day of school.
The following courses have a Summer Assignment: Click on the class to download the assignment. These assignments are in Microsoft Word format (.doc).
The Summer Assignment is a crucial part of your upcoming school year. It will count as a percentage of your semester grade, show a commitment to the rigor and expectations of the class, and better prepare you for the curriculum during your year of study.
Each course has a different Summer Assignment that students must complete. Please do the following in order to obtain a copy of the Summer Assignment(s) that you need to complete during the summer.
Other ways to get a copy of the Summer Assignments:
- The bookroom clerk at GHS, Mrs. Gewin, has a copy of all the Summer Assignments.
- Email the AP/Honor Coordinator for copies of the assignment (kanani.pratt@gusd.k12.ca.us

Last Day to Drop Classes is July 11th!
You have ample time to look over the Summer Assignment(s) and decide whether you want to continue with the AP or Honors class that you registered for!
All the Summer Assignments have reading components. You must go to GHS’s bookroom and check out the book(s) necessary to complete the assignment. The bookroom is open 8 am – 4 pm . The bookroom is closed the month of JULY!
